by Tyler Carlson (Osolis Mantis) (11/19/2007)

My Name: Tyler Carlson (Osolis Mantis)
Char Name: Ray Forre
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Place of Birth: Del’Adens’Kar, Rho, E’Oveai Rho, Outlook Galaxy
Faction: Rho Liberation Front (Ex-Xarkon)
Role: Liberation Front Leader
Weapons of Choice: - GA-13 HPG Blazer assault rifle equipped with a laser light attachment and tactical
flashlight
- Semi-Automatic .30 FR-93 HPG Blazer sniper rifle equipped with a bipod and
telescopic sight
Biography: Ray has been through a lot for a thirty-something ex-soldier. He used to be a prince, but his planet was taken from him by Xarkon and Grimm’s Army. He understands that the soldiers were just following orders, and that it shouldn’t be held against anyone but their commanding officer: Lucas Mars. In fact, his forgiveness for the soldiers is so deep that he joined the Xarkon army. His original plan was to destroy Xarkon from the inside out, but he soon realised that his vengeance would never be completely exacted, so he decided to do the only thing he could – free his planet from oppression and retake his throne. Before he could, however, he was sent on a diplomatic mission to a Sarran carrier in neutral space. On the carrier, he finally found someone with whom he could share his burden – the commanding Fleetmaster, Illyria. She was sympathetic to his cause, and decided that she would help him liberate his home. Her commander would not sacrifice the Council of Harmony’s neutrality for one man, but he would allow her and any who would follow her to leave and return to their positions if and when E’Oveai Rho was freed. Ray, Illyria and seven experienced Sarran soldiers left to free E’Oveai Rho and Ray and Illyria are now the commanders and founders of the Rho Liberation Front. Rumors fly among the troops that Ray and Illyria are in a serious relationship, but the two leaders do not allude to anything.
Personality: Ray is bitter and cynical and that makes him an incredible tactical leader. Unfortunately, it also makes him seem very distant and uncaring to his troops; which he is, actually. Illyria handles most of the social aspects of the RLF commanding duties. Ray hates most people; honor, duty, patriotism and integrity are the four most important things he sees in people. Ray has no fear of death, anymore; he used to be afraid of it, but now fully understands that it’s an inevitability. He is claustrophobic, arachnophonbic, trypanophobic (fear of needles) andaviophobic (fear of flying), though it only manifests when he flies on-planet and looks out the windows.

Biography: Illyria’s life was, for the most part, a great, easy success before she met Ray. She’s not unhappy, though; she needed a challenge. She was one of the very best in all of her schooling and, when she joined the Council of Harmony’s Navy (for the Sarran, Navy applies only to space warfare as their planet is much too cold for oceans), she attained control of her own ship and crew in six years. Two years later, she became a Fleetmaster and has been doing excellent for four years. The commanders had been eyeing her for a promotion; one of the highest for a female Sarran in the military, ever; but then Ray was sent to her ship on a diplomatic mission and everything changed. The two of them fell for each other and, one night, after relations, he bared his soul to her – and she accepted it. Now they work together on the Rho Liberation Front, trying to reclaim Ray’s planet. Illyria’s position will be open to her when and if E’Oveai Rho is freed… but Illyria’s not quite sure she wants to go back without Ray.
Personality: For a Sarran, Illyria is extremely open with her emotions – which is to say, not very. She is very much a people person, and believes that love is the most important thing in the world. She finds it difficult to sever her emotional ties with the rest of the Liberation Front’s members when they’re on a mission, especially with Ray; she has found herself falling head over heels in love with him. She, like many other Sarran, is claustrophobic, but is also aquaphobic (fear of drowning) and fears losing her wings above almost all; she claims she would give up her wings for Ray.
