Character Name: His name is Cerberus Kane, sometimes referred to as just Mr Kane, and never referred to as just Cerberus. 
 

Species: He is, as the majority of the Nova Refuge universe is, a human.

Gender: He is a male, in his mid 40’s, but no one can be to sure, only he knows his exact age.

Place of Birth: Cerberus Kane was born in one of the slums of Mordark, Xarkon. It was an extremely horrible place to live and may part be the reason for his current career. Later in his childhood (late teens is what most research points to) he moved to Daggarech, Zygbar. He lived in one of the slums there and worked for various crime bosses to gain enough money to start a career as a smuggler. Kane now runs his operations out of Kingwin, Leggalandor. It is suspected he does this because of the nation’s neutrality toward the other nations. 

Faction: As a crime lord and top notch arms dealer, as well as his connections in various groups and governments, it is understandable that he works and supplies items and contraband for many factions. Although he is not truly in any faction he has extremely close ties to Grimm’s army and Zygbar. He served in Grimm’s army for a short time in his younger years, but later decided that grunt work was not up to his potential.

   
Role: As I mentioned above, Mr Kane is a crime lord add weapons dealer. He supplies anyone from your lowlife thug, to the armed forces of Zygbar with either illegal or extremely powerful weaponry that are difficult to get through other sources. He commands an ever growing group of drafted men (usually who can’t pay him back for a weapon or other payment) that are not above dragging tariff dodgers to him and beating them until they pay up. Cerberus Kane is extremely wealthy, you can tell it just by looking at his weapons and battle attire (including a dragon scale vest) His empire is enormous and was built up from selling weapons, loaning money to people, hiring out his men to Grimm’s army for a cheap price, smuggling across borders, and other assorted criminal activities.
 

Weapons of Choice: When Cerberus Kane is just travelling around, he only carries these two of his lighter custom weapons. These two weapons are a VSA-50 “Harpy Eagle” Magnum handgun (with the basic case less explosive bullets) as well as a Kantec-360 combat knife. The custom designed combat knife, designed by his own company “Kantec”, is a basic combat knife made of duranium that has a device that has a blazer cell implanted in the hilt creating a thin energy blade film over the metal. This is great for cutting through bars, thin sheets of metal, as well as infantry armour. When he knows there is going to be real fighting, he brings his custom, case less round, drum feed, 100 round, Zytech SMG. This weapon of course, has been heavily modified to suit his needs. A silencer can be fitted to the barrel as well as the ability to use different sized clips. He uses this particular weapon because of its effectiveness in any terrain. Where a basic, low class rifle may be jammed by sand or destroyed by water, this gun won’t take a scratch!     

Biography: Cerberus Kane (as mentioned above) was born in one of the Mordark slums. As a child, he went to school but did not really excel in any specific fields. Kane would always get in fights with other kids and defy the teachers. As Kane grew up, he became increasingly interested in physical activity as well as making money. Kane loathed his parents and blamed them for one of the worst things that happened to him. In his mid teens, he was in a speeder crash that killed his family. This alone would not have bothered him, but he did not escape the accident unscathed. Cerberus Lost the use to his right (also his good) arm as well as suffering several disfiguring scars to his face and other parts of his body that haunted him all his life. It is said this single event is what created his cold and harsh look on life, not only of his own, but others as well. The last recorded data there is on this time of his life are hospital papers referring to the robotic hand he was given to replace his useless one.

A few years of his life have no records, but it is suspected that this is the time it took him to illegally immigrate over to Zygbar. Once arriving in Zygbar, he went to work at a weapons factory. This may be why he later took up his career as an arms dealer. He left the job after a year or so to pursue the life of a mercenary in Grimm’s army. Again, this may be yet another reason that he became a crime lord, but he was only serving with them two years before he deserted. On a side note, it was proven that during his enlistment, he wore a dragon scale vest that a man attempted to steal, it was the only thing of his fathers Cerberus had kept. When the man attempted to take it, Kane killed him with several shots to the head. This action actually earned him some prestige and a new rank among the mercs.

Many years went by since then, and no one will ever know exactly how Mr Kane got to be one of the most wealthy and influential crime lords in Terra Nova. One thing is for sure, it involved a lot of killing, threatening, violence, black mail, whatever it took, and Kane was willing to go there. Some say that Cerberus Kane is pure evil, but that’s not entirely true, He’s just one man, a man that has gone through many hardships, a man that’s harsh look on life may be somewhat justified. He lost his family that deep down he cared about, despite his outside reactions to them. He lost the use of his arm. He lost any sense of innocence that a normal person may have. Cerberus Kane is not evil, He’s just a man……………Living in the cold world that is NOVA REFUGE!   
 

Personality: Kane has a cold look on any life. He lost his innocence, so he basically thinks that no one else deserves to be happy. He thinks of no one but himself and his Girlfriend and listens to no one but himself. Still, he’s not evil. He doesn’t kill people that have nothing to do with his works, unlike the Xarkon military that are willing to kill protesters. Overall, he is Semi neutral (leaning toward evil) and chaotic.
