Real Name: IgnatuzAelrog ("Ignatus")
Faction: Xarkon
Position: High Admiral
Species: Mahlok
Gender: Male
Preferred Weapons: None
Preferred Vehicle: His flagship, the Angurvadel
Ignatus is a very old Mahlok... almost none ttruly know how old. He
claims to have lived on Terra Nova all his life, where he betrayed his
people during the latter half of the Xenocide War and joined the side of
Xarkon, giving them valuable information about his people while flying
an aerospace fighter with them into battle. For his aid in the war and
several shows of loyalty, Ignatus was eventually given a leadership of
his own fighter squadron, which he led into battle against any foes he
could face. Over one hundred and fifty years later, he met Lucas Mars,
who was then a general in the Xarkon Army. The two saw each other as
kindred spirits, and they helped one another rise through the ranks.
When Mars became High General and then High Commander of the Armed
Forces, he soon awarded Ignatus with the position of High Admiral of the
Aerospace Forces. The Mahlok thus became the first Native to earn such a
high rank in the military of one of the four largest Human factions.
Ignatus then helped in the design and construction of Xarkon's largest
starship, and perhaps the largest ever built... the Angurvadel.
From this flagship, Ignatus now has full control over the skies of
Xarkon.
Ignatus shows no fear as he strides the command deck of the Angurvadel,
wearing his signature uniform that looks like a combination of
traditional Mahlok and Xarkon uniforms. He goes unarmed, typically
making use of only his physical strength and the fire powers of his race
to defend himself. Mars saw Ignatus as a kindred spirit because their
own philosophies are so much alike. Ignatus claims to have left his
people because their current system of leadership rewarded those who
were cowardly liars at heart. The Mahlok of the Helexith Coalition
usually command their battles from afar, often fleeing before the face
of the enemy. Instead, they send their slave race, the Slashrim, into
battle, fooling them with religious lies to fuel their fervor and
loyalty. Ignatus wished to test his own personal mettle, but his bravery
only met with scorn from his kindred. He believes in the power of the
individual, and in the honor of fighting one's own battles and testing
one's own strength, just like Mars. Mars, who had never expected to find
such a similar philsophy in another being, has rewarded him highly for
this. Indeed, it is said that Ignatus may be one of the few who truly
knows Mars personally.
