A Bunch of Apologies - 4/11/2008

Well, I guess it's about time I wrapped up the Character Minifig Creation Contest. First I'd like to apologize to those who volunteered to judge for the contest; although, if you recall, I didn't say for sure that I really wanted any outside judges. In the end, I decided to judge the whole contest myself (with a little consulting of Werewolf for the tougher decisions). Secondly, and more importantly, I'd like to apologize for the contestants for taking so ridiculously long to judge and finish the contest. There were several reasons it took so long:

- I have a very bad system for uploading user-submitted LEGO creations. I'm working on setting up a better one that will greatly speed up future contests, and make the LEGO section more robust and interactive.
- I've been very busy lately, since my business has been picking up, and during this time my printer broke and had to be replaced, and my web host shut me down so that I had to set up a new server. All of it has been a huge workload.
- I must finally admit I've been way too lazy concerning this contest; I knew how much work it would be and avoided doing it for some time. Sorry about that.

Since I've been such a terribly lazy judge, I've decided to extend the winners to FOUR in each category, instead of three! Check the winners page to see who earned these TEN prizes! All of the winners shown there have been e-mailed with information about claiming their prizes, as well as yet another apology for taking so long. Thanks to everyone who entered!

On the subject of other updates:

- You may have noticed that all of the old news posts are gone. Yes, the move to a new server caused me to lose my old PHP news system. I will try to get that back up or install a new one later.

- In the Galaxy - Characters section, three new pages have been added: Gun-Barracuda, Silent-Cobra, and Lashnar.
